ข้อเสีย: "Not being fleeced / ripped off cheated out of money as I check in. The website purposely does not allow payment of bags just so they can get more at airport. ... Staff admitted it was regular complaints and they did not care... Not my sort of pleasurable flight.."

ข้อดี: "I had very low expectations after reading some reviews for this airline. But I was pleasantly surprised. Staff in Bangkok was nice, paid for bags, everything went smoothly, and the plane was not dumpy at all."

ข้อเสีย: "Thai Lion will rip you off on checked in luggage if you pay during checking in for your flight. I paid almost $300USD for one suitcase that weighed 15 kilos. When asked, they said I should have paid in advance. I expected to pay for checked in luggage, but $300 bucks is Ridiculous!!"

ข้อเสีย: "There was a large group that seemed like a class trio with over 20 children who were loud and rude the entire flight. Parents and flight attendants did not tell them to calm down or act more polite."

ข้อเสีย: "Charges 300 Baht per kilogram after 7 kg. We ended up switching out all goods that had to be checked and just carried our backpacks on. Was a big hassle."

ข้อดี: "The plane didn’t crash and we made it to our destination"

ข้อเสีย: "We were squished in like sardines. My neck and back still hurt. They are sticklers about bags. No more than 7 kg (roughly 15lbs). Over all experience not so good."

ข้อเสีย: "There baggage weights are ridiculous! 40 lbs for economy plus 30 lbs for economy..? Give me a break! Cost me the same amount for my baggage penalty for 5 lbs overweight as my tickets for two! Especially when they tell me to add the extra weight to my carry on... so what's the big deal? Same total baggage weight! I'll never fly with them again!"

ข้อเสีย: "Check-in was a disaster, boarding took for ever, getting the luggage took longer than the flight. English is unknown by ground staff. And the plane times had changed."

ข้อเสีย: "No immigration documents were passed out on the flight from Singapore to BKK causing a bottleneck on arrival. Only one Thai Lion rep. processing entries and passing out docs. Very slow, jepordizing an onward connecting flight."

ข้อเสีย: "I was in line for the flight and they closed the gate without notifying me"

ข้อเสีย: "The seats were uncomfortable and the food was unpleasant. Also, there was an hour delay but they never announced a delay, it just happened and not one really mentioned why until right before we were actually about to take off."

ข้อเสีย: "No food, drink or water ... no snacks either ... peanuts cost a few baht, 9 baht per bag at 7/11"

ข้อเสีย: "There was the least amount of legroom I've ever seen on any other airline, my legs were digging into the seat in front of my when I was sitting perfectly upright. They also didn't serve even water."

ข้อเสีย: "Extremely little leg room. Also they have sneaky charges for luggage weight. Anything over 15kg and they charge you for every extra kilogram. If you want to check in a second luggage you have to check in 4 hours ahead and you still have to pay a lot of money, and it is based on the weight of your luggage . If you don't check in 4 hours in advance and you have an extra suitcase, they charge you by the kilogram and it is ridiculously expensive. More than he cost of the entire flight! And if your flight has multiple legs, you have to pay for the extra luggage every single leg."

ข้อเสีย: "The overall floght was ok with the crew pretty helpful. However coming in to land the plane swayed sideaays seemingly to be off course but probably due to wind shear. Touching down was one of the hardest I ever experienced with all passengers in shock on the force it kanded"

ข้อเสีย: "Sat at exit row, great legroom but no reclining. Seat itself was not comfy."

ข้อดี: "This is want low cost should be. Do the basics right, brand new plane, on time and impeccable crew. That's all I wanted."

ข้อเสีย: "Absolutely no customer support. No one to call or contact. In theory, they have a contact through Facebook but no one picks up. If you book through a major third party agency, you cannot log onto their system to make changes like add baggage. At the airport, they told me the only way to ask them is to come to the airport. How environmentally unfriendly and generally inconvenient. Especially in these days where such online services should be easy."

ข้อเสีย: "Air Asia is grossly understaffed at Johor Bahru and rely on Self Check-in kiosks that few of the passengers understand. It’s chaos with horrendously long waits. The international waiting area post-security is tiny with zero dining options. Third world all the way, a distinct contrast to the city, which is great."

ข้อเสีย: "My friend and I bought Luang Prabang to Siem Reap tickets with a change in Bangkok. We had both printed our boarding passes and had only carryon bags. They wouldn’t check us in thru to Siem Reap when we were in Luang Prabang, so when we tried to go through transit in Bangkok, the Air Asia agents sent us back to enter Thailand. We had to go through passport control, go up to arrivals and wait in the huge, chaotic lines ( why does AA always have chaotic limes?) and check in again. We then had to go back through immigration and security inspections. Even the immigration and exit officials were questioning why we didn’t go in transit! Took us two hours and lots of extra walking. I only fly Air Asia when I have to, and always think they will have gotten better, but they never do."

ข้อเสีย: "Started with booking, a package includes seats but the seats included we're all full,of i.e. need to pay more again.but100 Dollar for credit card booking? They are crazy! Check-infamily with just computers is terrible, didn't worked properly. Included food in package but can't choose, both legs the same food. Baggage damaged. Long walk in DMK to transfer, inefficient. Overall just a shitty experience!"

ข้อเสีย: "The cabin pressure and plane temperature was uncomfortable, plus the food options for sale were all so unhealthy. Its paid so there is no reason there shouldn't be healthier options."

ข้อเสีย: "We used flightnetwork through kayak. During purchase there was nothing saying check in bags weren't included. It's an international flight! After reading the confirmation email also saw nothing about it, only some ambiguous message about checking with the airline. THIS IS IMPORTANT! WHY WOULD YOU NOT MENTION IT AT SOME POINT. If I need to go to the airline to "check" that YOU didn't forget to tell me something then what the hell is the point of using your service?! I had to pay 144 dollars, more than a single ticket!"

ข้อดี: "We paid extra for the quit zone seats and we ended up having having the row to ourselves. Unlike the other reviews I am seeing we were not charged an excess baggage fee and were over by five kilos. The seats were fairly comfortable but again we had the whole row to ourselves."

ข้อดี: "Quick boarding, on time, professional staff. Can get cheap food ahead of time, but only recommended if you won't have time to eat otherwise because the food isn't great."

ข้อเสีย: "I was charged more than $100 for 1 check in bag, 15 kg for international flight from Cambodia to Thailand. If my bag were over 15 kg but less than 20 kg then price would be 50-60% higher. I did not even ask how much I would pay if my single check in bag were over 20 kg. Obviously, if you have any check in bag you pay at least a double price for your flight. Leg space is designed for slim and trim Asians, all others who don't fit this description have problems."

ข้อเสีย: "Told only one carry on bag of 7 kg so I checked my other 13kg and I was charged as much for my baggage to HCMC as what plane ticket cost but, others were taking two or three carry on bags. Budget flight but they rip you off for baggage. I would do anything to avoid this airline in the future."
