เส้นทางการเดินทาง ภาษาอังกฤษ

เมื่อมีนักท่องเที่ยวถามทาง เราก็จะสามารถตอบเค้าไปได้ทันที เช่นเดียวกันกับเวลาที่เราไปเที่ยวต่างประเทศแล้วต้องถามทาง คำศัพท์เหล่านี้จะทำให้เราไปยังเป้าหมายได้ถูกต้องค่ะ

• Go straight on  =  ตรงไปข้างหน้า 
• walk past…(ชื่อสถานที่) หรือ go past…(ชื่อสถานที่)  =  เดินผ่าน 
• turn left   =  เลี้ยวซ้าย
• turn right   =  เลี้ยวขวา 
• on the left   =  ทางซ้าย 
• on the right   =  ทางขวา
• cross the road   =  ข้ามถนน
• behind   =  ด้านหลัง
• in front of   =  ด้านหน้า
• straight on  =  ตรงไป
• opposite   =  ตรงกันข้ามกับ
• on the other side of the road   =  อีกฝั่งของถนน(ตรงกันข้าม) 
• near  = ใกล้
• next to  =  ถัดจาก
• Turn back / Go back   =  กลับหลัง 
• between  =  อยู่ระหว่าง
• at the end (of)   =  สุดทางของ… 
• Go along …   =  เดินไปตาม…
• Cross …   =  ข้าม…
• Take the first/second road on the left/right   = เดินไปตามถนนแรก / ถนนที่สองทางด้านซ้าย / ด้านขวา
• It’s on the left/right    =  มันอยู่ทางด้านซ้าย / ด้านขวา

• junction   =  สามแยก
• intersection / crossroads   = สี่แยก
• on/at the corner   =  หัวมุมถนน
• around the corner   =  อยู่ตรงหัวมุม
• lane   =   ตรอก, ซอย
• road  =  ถนนใหญ่
• at the end of the road   =  สุดถนน
• railroad/ railway   =  ทางรถไฟ

• footpath/ sidewalk/ pavement   =  ทางเท้า
• crosswalk/ zebra crossing  =  ทางม้าลาย
• traffic light   =  สัญญาณไฟจราจร
• bus stop   =  ป้ายรถประจำทาง
• bridge   =  สะพาน
• overcrossing/ footbridge   =   สะพานลอยคนข้าม
• pier (เพียร์)  =  ท่าเรือ
• airport   =  สนามบิน
• bus stop   =  ป้ายรถเมล์
• crossroads, junction   =  ทางข้าม, สี่แยก
• signpost   =   ป้ายบอกทาง, ป้ายสัญลักษณ์ 
• bus   =   รถประจำทาง
• taxi   =  รถแท็กซี่ 
• express boat   =  เรือด่วน
• ferry boat   =  เรือข้ามฟาก
• train   =  รถไฟ
• subway/ underground   =  รถไฟใต้ดิน 
• sky train   =  รถไฟลอยฟ้า
• airplane   =  เครื่องบิน

• take / catch / get on   =  ขึ้นรถ
• get off   =  ลงรถ
• bus number….. / a number….. bus  =  หมายเลขรถ

ประโยคสั้นๆง่ายๆสำหรับบอกทาง 

• It’s this way./ It’s that way.  =  ทางนี้/ ทางนั้น
• You have to go that way.  =  เดินไปทางนั้นเลย
•  take this road.  =  ไปตามถนนนี้ 
• Walk along the road./ Walk straight on/ Go straight on. /Keep going straight. /Just go straight on.  =  เดินตรงไปเรื่อยๆ
• take the first on the left.  =  แยกแรกให้เลี้ยวซ้าย
• take the second on the right.  =  แยกสองให้เลี้ยวขวา
• turn right at the crossroads.   =  ถึงสี่แยกให้เลี้ยวขวา
• go under the bridge.  =  ลอดใต้สะพาน
• go over the bridge.   =  ข้ามสะพาน
• Continue straight ahead for 500 meters.  =  ตรงไปเรื่อยๆ ประมาณ 500 เมตร.
• Walk for about 10 minutes.  =  เดินไปประมาณ 10 นาที
• Go through the intersection to Phra Athit Road.  =   เดินข้ามสี่แยกไปยังถนนพระอาทิตย์
• You’re going to the wrong way. =  คุณกำลังไปผิดทาง 
• It’s too far to walk. You should take a cab.  =   มันไกลมากถ้าจะเดินไป เรียกแท็กซี่จะดีกว่า.

แต่ถ้าไม่รู้ทางจริงๆ อาจใช้ประโยคนี้แทนคำว่า “I don’t know” 

• I don’t know the way. But I’ll try to help you.  = ไม่รู้เหมือนกัน แต่จะลองช่วยดูครับ/ค่ะ.

• Just a moment. Let me ask someone who knows.  =  รอสักครู่นะคะ/ครับ เดี๋ยวไปถามผู้รู้ให้.
