AppleCarPlay ติดตั้งได้ทั้งแบบไร้สาย และแบบเชื่อมต่อด้วยพอร์ต USB โดยหลังจากสตาร์ตรถยนต์ และเปิด Siri ก็สามารถทำตามขั้นตอนต่อไปนี้

1. เสียบสาย USB เข้าพอร์ตเชื่อมต่อหน้าจอรถยนต์ ฟีเจอร์ระบบอัตโนมัติของ Apple CarPlay จะปรากฏที่หน้าจอ แล้วให้เลือก "เปิดใช้งาน Apple CarPlay"

2. สังเกตการแจ้งเตือนบน iPhone จะปรากฏข้อความให้เรากดอนุญาตเชื่อมต่อ หรือคุณต้องการจับคู่กับรถยนต์หรือไม่ หลังจากนั้นก็เริ่มใช้งานฟีเจอร์ต่างๆ ได้เลย
