Everything was great

Plane a bit old, no entertainment service.

ข้อเสีย: "One of the best experiences in short haul flights in years! Flew twice with them and the service was great. US based airlines could learn a lot from them."

ข้อเสีย: "Since they had (unexpectedly) provided a meal on my previous trip (10am to 11:30) , I assumed a meal would d be provided given the time of travel. All we were given was an inedible pastry with chocolate. Plane landed at approximately 18:40 but not at gate until 19:20 - long taxi and shuttle ride"

ข้อเสีย: "The flight was three hours late. Signage at gate showed original departure time and Check-In. After an hour signage showed Check-In closed, and updated new arrival time. Flight arrived later than estimated arrival time which was never updated. No announcements were made over the public address system until the plane arrived at another gate. They serve only water, coffee, and tea as beverages."

ข้อเสีย: "1. The meal served was not very good. It consisted of cold, bland noodles with some kind of deep-fried meat. 2. It took a very long time for the airport to get the baggage to the baggage claim area -- almost one-half hour!"

ข้อเสีย: "I like to fly with this airline because they offer access to their airport lounge to all passengers. Unfortunately, the lounge at Chiang Mai airport for international departures has closed permanently."

ข้อเสีย: "I was not allowed to do the on-line check-in from my destination, so ended up with some lousy seats. Fortunately they changed them for me at the airport."

ข้อเสีย: "I’ve travelled throughout Asia before & am used to the lack of announcements fir queuing, but this was more extreme. They seemed panicked they wouldn’t get out on time. On board they dropped doors at us and summarily picked it up. Rather un-Thai-like service"

ข้อเสีย: "Rude passengers, Apparently loud and discurtious chinese nationals do not know how to be polite, talk softly or behave in public, sad!"

ข้อดี: "They do a great job - a good meal with tea and coffee service on an hour flight. They did great. The airline also got me on an earlier flight without even having to ask. They noticed I had a tight connection and acted preemptively."

ข้อดี: "Budget airlines don't handle problems well - delays due to weather (I'm guessing - the usual explanation of "late inbound aircraft was offered) mean endless hassle."

ข้อเสีย: "Not the friendliest service. Trip to phuket was great. Back was just okay."

ข้อดี: "On our trip to Thailand, we flew Bangkok Airways 3 times, Bangkok-Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai-Phuket, Phuket-Bangkok. Each flight was on time, the crew was friendly and professional. They even fed us on each flight, a couple of which were barely over an hour! And I mean real food, not just a bag of peanuts or pretzels! In addition, there was a lounge for passengers that served coffee, soft drinks and snacks before the flight, and provided free WiFi. Finally, no hidden fees! Reminded me of flying US airlines domestically, about 30 years ago!"

ข้อเสีย: "Others have also complained that they crew keeps telling you to remove your noise cancelling headphones on the ascent and descent. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that in the event of a 'catastrophic in air event', the fact that I have my headphones on isn't going to make a damn difference. The crew was annoying and unpleasant. That's it."

ข้อเสีย: "flight was cancelled and it was never announced that it was cancelled in the airport. They were unable to rebook the flight until 4 days later which was unacceptable as I had to be at work that Monday."

ข้อดี: "That it was on time mostly and got us to our destination. Food was a saving grace compared to the overall experience."

ข้อเสีย: "Super old equipment, no entertainment at all for an international flight at least for the longer 4 hour leg. Their motto fly boutique feel unique is a joke. You could tell they are a cheap cheap airline, they never got a gate at any airport, appeared like relegated to the far flung corners of the airport! Always busing us to and from the gates. In flight bare bones with rickety old seats. Certainly for the super budget minded a good value maybe but I won't be traveling with them anytime soon. crew kept asking me to remove my noise canceling headphones. No airline has ever asked me to coz duh that's their purpose!"

ข้อดี: "The flight was delayed about 20 minutes. They were very good about keeping us updated. The service was wonderful on board there was no entertainment available on board. The meal was very good."

The flight was on time how ever the crew was not so friendly

No working jet bridge to deplane, with priority customers deplaning last. Followed by bus to terminal.

ข้อเสีย: "With a biz class, I assumed alcohol would be served, well, it wasn't. I fly all over the world and this is the only airline I have ever flown which didn't serve alcohol with a biz class seat. I was told they don't serve alcohol on domestic flights."

ข้อเสีย: "This is a new plane, but the molding fell off during landing. The boarding experience for business or first class is horrendous with Thai airways, they just don’t have it figured out. Domestic flights are worse than international."

ข้อเสีย: "Terrible business class seats that are 10-15 years old. Have to take a bus to the gate in Bangkok. It’s 2019. We should have lie flat seats, not angled."

ข้อเสีย: "The lay flat bed was good but hard, entertainment was good but having travelled the route 7 weeks ago, not much had changed - but a good choice. We were late leaving but arrived on time"

ข้อเสีย: "More choice of movies, and more choice of translations languages for movies. Because longs hauliers need a lot of entertainment. Thank you very much for asking for our comfort"

ข้อดี: "The in flight entertainment had an excellent selection of new movies but..."

ข้อเสีย: "With 30 minutes left until we landed the airline decided to play on every single screen and at maximum volume a Thai tourism video. For 30 minutes this video played, the flight was only 1 hour 20 minutes. It’s the little annoyances like this can’t make an short trip irritating."

ข้อเสีย: "Thai seems to be the only major airline without a transit desk in DPS, so connecting passengers have to waste hours going through immigration and customs, checking in again, then going through security and immigration all over again. Flight was fine except for this waste of 2 hours standing in lines"

ข้อดี: "Comfortable flight, great crew. Good price for ticket. No luggage and change fees. Awesome. I wish American carriers were like this."

ข้อดี: "Smooth take off and landing. Great service, even food and drinks served on an hr flight!"

ข้อดี: "I really love Thai Air business class internal flights. Great seat layout like the long haul privacy. Thai Air staff always excellent and even on this 70 min flight they serve a hot Thai meal rather than cop out with sarnies. Also was llucky on the flight down to HKt was on a brand new Dreamliner, I think they were testing. Wow! Multi coloured calming lighting and no window blinds ! 5heh work electinically like polarised glasses! What next! Highly recommend Thai Air for business class."

ข้อเสีย: "We were delayed over an hour on our flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. There were no headphones for in-flight entertainment, so you could see it but not hear anything!"

ข้อดี: "I was on a multi-city itinerary and almost decided against biz class between Phuket and Phnom Penh. I'm so glad I decided to pay the extra $100+dollars because the seats were terrific and so was service. They created a few moments of peace and comfort on a pretty grueling itinerary."

ข้อเสีย: "Seats way too small and uncomfortable, no in flight entertainment or plugs, charged for basic drinks, cash only, Seats too close to one another, seat belt not made for American bodies, took off late. Basically the spirit airlines for East Asia"

ข้อดี: "Flying from Phuket was so easy, check-in quick and straightforward. I had chosen not to reserve our seats, and this time that meant that we were in the very back row, so had the pleasure of those in front of us in our laps, with no chance of reclining our own seats. It was a short flight, so no real damage was done."

ข้อเสีย: "They cancelled my trip, did not have a 24/7 customer service line, and then un-cancelled the trip two hours before departure so that I didn't have enough time to make it to the airport. Will update review depending on whether they refund my money for the trip."

ข้อดี: "We paid extra for the quit zone seats and we ended up having having the row to ourselves. Unlike the other reviews I am seeing we were not charged an excess baggage fee and were over by five kilos. The seats were fairly comfortable but again we had the whole row to ourselves."

ข้อเสีย: "Online checkin didnt work. I made several attempts. Then I spent 45 minutes waiting for online chat to help. We agreed on my seat and the size bag I wanted to buy and the amount. When I turned up at airport they had no record of this conversation (although I could show it to them from my laptop) and wanted to charge me baggage fees at an extortionate rate. Terrible customer service experience all around."

ข้อดี: "I like that it was easy to buy the flight."

ข้อเสีย: "I hate that it was impossible to cancel the flight. I tried numerous ways to cancel my flight within 12 hours of making the reservation. I could not find any way to get in touch with the airline to cancel this flight. So, I'm out the $149 airfare."

ข้อดี: "Nothing, AirAsia was great 5 years ago but now their additional charges are excesive, their personal is one of the worst (very hard to find a bad person in Thailand and all AirAsia personal are intransigente people)"

ข้อเสีย: "Their fees for First baggae are excesive, they accept very few kg per bag, they charge much much more per extra kg than any other airline. I will never use this airline again, we paid mode in extra fees than in tickets and service was aweful."

ข้อเสีย: "Good was terrible, even though looked great on pictures on the website when I placed the order. Boarding system was inefficient and caused the flight leaving late. Seats are small and cheap made (even though we bought economy comfort seats). Flight attendants weren't friendly, poor manners. Won't recommend them at all, won't fly them again for sure,"

ข้อดี: "The flight was short from Phuket to Bangkok that was the only good thing."

ข้อเสีย: "Not wheel chair friendly - I boarded & departed the shuttle bus to the plane & the plane last due to little assistance from Thai AirAsia. The customer service was lacking for those needing additional assistance. Also they charged for everything extra - food, check bags, etc. Tired to sell their merchandise the whole time. Budget/low cost, never again. Thai language was not an issue."

ข้อเสีย: "They tried to make me pay almost 400 Canadian dollars for my 20 kg bag! I ended up still having to pay 87 Canadian but because it was unexpected it was unimpressive to say the least. Then once on board they won't even give you water or anything!!! What a joke. Not what we are used to in Canada."

Limited to 7kg carry on, all additional luggage must be checked in and paid for Charged for beverages Charged for food Check in closes 1 HOUR prior to departure. If you try to check in 59 minutes or less prior to your flight, you must change your flight and pay a flight change fee. If you have a connecting flight, in the same country with this airline, they do NOT ticket, or check your bags thru to your 2nd flight. Thus, after your first flight, you must wait for your bags, then check in for your second flight. This will ensure that you miss your connecting flight, unless you have at least 2.5 hours between flights, which may result in an additional charge if you miss your connecting flight. We dealt with 3 agents at 3 different locations prior to our first flight and NONE of them told us that we did not have sufficient times between flights, which resulted in us missing our flight and paying for a flight change. Our flight ended up costing 75% extra. I have flown throughout the world on many different airlines and have NEVER seen an airline with these operating procedures/policies. They need to change the name of this airline to NICKEL AND DIME, or to TIGHTWADS OF THE SKY. Will NEVER fly Air Asia again."
