The people we choose as friends, the relationships we let go of, the subjects we study, the jobs we take, the promises we can't keep, some days when we can't be bothered to leave our beds, or some nights when we come home too late. Throughout life, how many times have these small decisions led us down different paths? Are all of these part of "destiny"? Scene Erawan: Destiny invites you to explore and question "destiny" through the eyes and creative works of 30 creators, each of whom sees the intertwining threads of life amidst its chaos from different perspectives. They each bring their own stories to share in their unique ways. Scene Erawan: Destiny originates from Erawan Bangkok, a legendary mall of the city that believes in the power of creative thinking. Collaborating with SceneCraft, a contemporary art management team, we aim to create a space for creators to experiment and contribute to a diverse showcase that connects the past, present, and future of this area. We aim to create an experience that will happen temporarily but with the hope of becoming long-lasting inspiration for visitors. At one of the busiest intersections in this city, the deity Brahma of the Erawan Shrine, the creator and sculptor of things, is part of a hub of beliefs from people around the world. "Phra Phrom Erawan" symbolizes a better future, a different kind of life dream. The expanded history emanates from this intersection, witnessed by divine statues that have been present for centuries. "Destiny" serves as the starting point for the story that Scene Erawan: Destiny wants to portray at the heart of Bangkok. We invite creators from various fields to join the conversation, starting with a simple question, "What does destiny mean to you?" This leads to endless creative works that stem from never-ending stories. It begins from the dawn of human civilisation to an algorithm that seems to understand us better than deities. Everything revolves around our most fundamental desire: to meet someone who makes life meaningful.
