This is my favorite classic car movie! Back in the day when it first came out I drug my sixteen year old girlfriend to the movie theater and we saw this about twenty times. The quality of this video is actually better than the original movie! The music of the era used in this movie is fantastic! So many great hit songs, and the quality of the sound track is better than the original movie. IN MY OPINION THIS IS THE BEST CAR/LOVE STORY MOVIE EVER!

This one's a tough call. The central lovers played by Paul Le Mat and Dianne Hull are appealing. Los Angeles has never looked more effervessent as lensed here by William Fraker. The soundtrack, particularly the contributions of Elton John whose songs act as a Greek chorus, is terrific. The problem here is the direction, or over direction, of the film by Floyd Mutrux. The film just seems too...busy. The sights and sounds of the movie overwhelm the main story of a boy and a girl on the lam from the law for a prank that goes tragically awry. "Aloha, Bobby and Rose" is a good film that could have been a great one. On a side note when are they going to release Mutrux' "American Hot Wax" on DVD? A new VHS copy of the film goes for over $100.00. For that matter when are they going to issue on DVD Jonathan Demme's "Handle With Care" starring Le Mat?

A true 70s classic with the great Paul LeMat. I'm getting the bluray - the picture quality is a little lacking. This movie has been out of circulation for too long. Waiting for a release of the late Jonathan Demme's Handle With Care/ Citizens Band and Melvin and Howard, still not available on bluray(!)

Paul LeMat is criminally underrated as an actor.

If you like American Graffiti and its sequel, you'll love this.

My husband and I saw this movies back in 1975. (we were not married yet) The movies is "dated" and i got a total different perspective watching it as an adult with 3 grandchildren, but it still brought back alot of memories. Had to have this in my collection just for the memories. Paul Le Mat was such a handsome man and still is. His character is pretty selfish in this movies, (as i see now) but i still enjoyed watching it. It shows how such an innocent situation can be big trouble--always good to tell the truth at first.

First off this movie is leaving Prime in 6 days..so I decided that I should see it.. Second I am familiar with actor Paul LeMat. I know of him from "The Burning Bed" that co starred the late beauty "Farrah Fawcett" who died in 2009 the same day that legendary recording artist Micheal Jackson passed away suddenly. Here's something else that you may not know about Paul he was married to Motown employee who worked with the Jackson's .. Suzanne De Passe (black female) and they have 3 children together...if you are a fan of his.. Reach out to him on Twitter and Instagram.. Susanne Hull is now 70 years old and is an accomplished acting coach at the Lee Strasberg Institute in NYC/LA as well. Tim McIntire who died in 1986 the cowboy -football player in the Lincoln Town car was the son og movie vet's Jeanette Nolan and John McIntire .. His mother out lived him until 1998 and his dad in 1991. His sister Holly McIntire is an actress as well.. The best friend from the garage where worked is Robert Carradine ..who's late brother was David Carradine.. Keith is another and Bruce Carradine are actor's as well.. Their papa was the famous John Carradine..... and Edward James Olmos played one of the latino pool sharks.. The story was a bit awkward...the only thing I liked was the views of Sunset Blvd in the 1970's... Those bill boards promoting LP's ...do you remember that..? The sound track was okay...I am a big Elton John fan...and the location shoot's must have been a pain for the crew.. Hollywood, Sunset strip and Mexico ... By the way careful who you make friends..with.. A prank that in real life could get someone actually killed... What may sound funny..in the end could change your life forever..! Over all the movie was slow ..and picked up.. then it dragged due to the mother's attachment to her son.

I bought this movie on recommendation. It seemed to attempt to steal the "American Graffitti" tone early on, then it went on to be it's own independent love/tragedy story.

I can see it having a bigger impact in it's day, but it doesn't stand the test of time, in my opinion. I'll watch it again as it may get better with a few views.

Paul Le Mat is such a magnetic actor, that I've enjoyed him in everything -- he just seems so likable. Dianne Hull did well also, however, she cannot fake cry to save her life.

The transfer is garbage as this movie is primarily shot at evening or night, and older movies with dark scenes never transfer well.

The final scene might have been impactful when it was made, but just falls short for today's standards. I did, however, find some very funny scenes in the movie which caught me off guard.

I think this will hold nostalgia value for those from that era, more than a new comer to this film.

Great movie reminds me of my youth when I drove around in a customised 67 Camaro. Had a rendition of Tiny Dancer long before the film Almost Famous.
