It's summer time now, this is truly a slow life story. Rather bored, but the conversation not that many, so I just plan to quick read this series.

There's nothing specifically wrong with this volume as far as the series goes, it's what wasn't right about it that drags it down. It's not a terrible story, but it's one of those plot arcs that just seems entirely unnecessary. That, more than anything about this volume, left me unimpressed. As usual, the art is good, the characters (at least the ones that really matter) are relatively true to themselves, and the extraneous ones remain weak plot devices.

3.5/5 Another cute volume. No real plot development in this one. We start with Christmas and Kaoru wanting to buy Aoi a present. Then we move on to New Years and Kaoru having to spend it alone with Tina (who is adorable). After that we’re on to school tests and Taeko struggling through it. Then we hit the carnival. The last 2 chapters were the best though as Aoi and Kaoru get a little time together.
Aoi still comes off as needy and unrealistic but it’s still a sweet funny manga. We really hit most of the tropes this volume though. We got beach and hot springs lined up yet?

And just in time for a holiday special! This felt like an episode or two of an anime and was a cute adventure for our characters, complete with a flashback clip show in the last chapters. I think this is a great place to break off from this series. It was a cute journey and I may finish it in the future but I’m in no hurry to collect the rest.

This volume picks up on the story which began in Volume 1 much better than the second volume. The unwanted harem-trope nonsense is less pronounced, and the love story is developed to the point of cheesy. But really, that relationship is what makes this story great.

Still sweet, and the series just gets better and better. Kaoru and Aoi are very in love with eachother, despite the others not knowing it, snd with more females added to the mix....
